In Canada, Where White Males Are Under-Represented In Government
While 64% of B.C. residents are of European extraction, just 14% of executive council are drawn from Anglophone communities.
A recent departure from the Liberal government cabinet sets the tone for our analysis. After much consternation, Edmonton-based Liberal MP Randy Boissonnault has "removed himself" from cabinet.
An LGBT fanatic, Cultural Action Party [est.2016] are glad he is gone. Related to this is the issue of who would replace Boissonnault. Although we couldn't guess as to the appointment, we took a shot at stating who the replacement would not be:
Namely, a heterosexual white male. CAP came through with flying colours. At least on a temporary basis, his replacement is a French-Canadian female from New Brunswick, Liberal MP Marie-Claude Bibeau.
Chalk another one up for "wokism." Of the 37 MP's in PM Justin Trudeau's Liberal cabinet, 21% are straight white males. As culled from Wikipedia, 69.8% of our demography are drawn from Caucasian communities. With a near-50/50 male-to female ratio, we conclude that approximately 35% of the Canadian population are white males.
Hear ye, hear ye: white males are under-represented in the Liberal cabinet. Degree to which media expose the fact? Try nothing, and go downhill from there. Yet, when tables are turned, we discover that "proportional representation" is fundamental to wokism, particularly as applied to our academic world via DEI initiatives.
Conclusion? Hypocrisy of the highest order, a fundamental of everything that flows from Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, BIOPIC, Critical Race Theory and the rest of the Marxist-derived academic jive.
A recent provincial election in British Columbia speaks further to the dynamic. Not that any media organization dare write about the phenomenon. Certainly not the CBC, Toronto Star, Globe & Mail, or “alternative” media publication, for that matter.
Re-elected is Premier David Eby's New Democratic Party in Canada’s most-western province. A look at his recently appointed cabinet adds fuel to the "diversity" fire infused within society.
Of twenty-eight Executive Council positions, four members are straight white males. Meaning a mere 14% of council are culled from the male Anglophone population.
"British Columbia is the most diverse province in Canada; as of 2016, the province had the highest proportion of visible minorities in the country. The five largest pan-ethnic groups in the province are Europeans (64%), East Asians (15%), South Asians (8%), Aboriginals (6%) and Southeast Asians (4%) as of May 14, 2024."
Unabashed, wicked under-representation it is. In comparison, the executive includes four MLA's drawn from B.C. Sikh communities. The statistics inform us that 5.9% of the province are of Sikh-Canadian extraction. Doing the math informs us that Sikhs are over-represented in government. They have 14% representation based on despite comprising approximately 6% of the population.
What, pray-tell, do these statistics tell British Columbians about ethnic representation in government? CAP will answer first: nothing at all-- because media refuse to breathe a word about it.
As a microcosm, the situation speaks volumes. Turns out that "racialized" communities have been accorded a giant privilege. When under-represented, tax-payer funded "multicultural" organizations effectively lobby government for increases in representation.
Conversely, when proportionally out-representing white Canadians, they keep their mouths shut and reap the benefit. Much of this has to do with legacy media's extreme bias toward the "racialized" in contrast to their shoddy treatment of Anglo-Canadian communities.
We consider a topic that the press in Canada rarely, if ever touch upon. What will be the situation thirty-years down the road, after Caucasian-Canadians have transitioned to an official minority community?
Quick answer: more of the same, and even worse. We come to recognize how Canadians of Anglophone origin--males more so than females-- are being systemically pushed out of government. We also recognize media's role in covering-up this inequitable social trend.
White privilege in Canada? Don't be absurd. After all, a Trudeau-family member is in charge of the country. On this basis, who would expect "social equity" to be applied to white heterosexual males?
The answer should be no one.
Nice to see this written about, but even a cursory glance at those in most government positions makes it plain that the deck has been stacked against white males, and has been for many years. It's common knowledge among those I speak to in Alberta that straight white males are at the bottom of the pecking order when it comes to institutions of all types in this pathetic excuse for a country. And we've all known it for years, if not at least a decade or more.
That said, I work in the oilpatch in northern AB, so not really the same demographic as most places, there's been a long term, seething hatred of the liberal party and all they represent, and more so anything Trudeau for decades here.
yes. And when straight White Christian males attend a political events it seems they are expected to sit in the corner and wear a dunce's hat.
