Is Trudeau Replacing Democracy With A Medical Dictatorship?

Justin Trudeau has always had a distinctively non-democratic air– or arrogance— about him.

The justification may differ, but the methodology remains. Speaking of the advent of authoritarian takeover of democratic nations, Western News Watch hereby note the parallels.

The method is found in a step-by-step ramping up of dictatorial interjections. It is the story of the seduction of innocent civilians in a transition from free society to authoritarian state.

In a recent interview with one of the founders of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, conservative journalist Ezra Levant stated the following:

“I feel like we are teetering on authoritarian police-state tactics.”

Mr. Levant looked nonplussed when issuing the statement. Yet, there are many political observers who suspected as much from Justin Trudeau since the day he became prime minister. At present, it appears like nothing short of an inevitability.

Many more Canadians would have understood the situation if not for coordination between the Liberal government and establishment media. The pre-meditated outcome being a societal delay in recognising that Canada circa 1867-2015 in over and done with.

Frankly, one could see it in Trudeau’s eyes as he waved to the crown upon election in 2015. His facial expression spoke of a forthcoming truth: “you people have no idea what is in store for your country.”

This occurred well before the silver bullet was shot. Four years later, the Covid pandemic was in full swing. Its implications conjure up images from totalitarian societies of the past century.

Chinese communism over here, Soviet propaganda over there, community demonization drawn from 20th century European totalitarianism.

Does it really matter what the rationale is? What counts is the transition to an authoritarian society– not its justification from government.

Speaking of incremental ramp-ups of draconian measures, PM Trudeau has of late taken to demonizing Canada’s anti-Vaxxer community.

In a French-language TV interview this week, Mr. Trudeau launched his most strident attack on “anti-vaxxers” so far in the pandemic era. In it, he painted  the “anti-vaxxers as often being women-haters, racists and science-deniers.”

Translation: a vilification of a minority segment of Canadian society. Is it deja-vu time all over again? Students of history might recall similar vilifications from fascist leaders of the 20th century.

Lockdowns of entire provinces. Loss of personal freedoms. Demonization of a segment of society. Mass health mandates. Punitive measures for not following orders. Closure of small businesses for resistance. Privileges withdrawn for non-compliance.

Sunny Ways Canada? Let us not dwell in the land of the absurd. Trudeau could have shouted it to the high heavens– it was never meant to be. What we truly have here is emulation of the form of governance most admired by our prime minister.

All one giant coincidence, is it?  Is the outcome what is best described as a “medical dictatorship?”

What does it matter how it came to be? Either it is, or it isn’t. Justin Trudeau has always had a distinctively non-democratic air– or arrogance— about him.

If he hates dealing with circumstances within Canadian society, than retire. But we know he won’t. What seems likely instead is that Trudeau will remain PM until the completion of the unspoken Woke Revolution.

A medical dictatorship by any other name would still be a dictatorship.
