Parallels Abound Between China's Cultural Revolution And Trudeau's Canada

A look at the history of revolutionary China evokes parallels with present-day Canadian society.

To insist that "post-modern" social developments are devoid of historical precedents is to draw a false conclusion.

It was in 2016 that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau declared Canada a post-modern society. It has taken a number of years to understand his meaning. In 2022, the picture is much clearer. Since day one, Mr. Trudeau has been indulging in what can be described as a "soft revolution."

Throughout these years, government has methodically pushed Canada away from its democratic foundation. In its stead, the Liberals have entrenched a form of neo- authoritarianism. It is new, and not so new, at the same time.

A look at the history of revolutionary China evokes parallels with present-day Canadian society. In specific terms, this relates to China's Cultural Revolution, a socio-political movement spanning from 1966 until founder Chairman Mao Tse Tung's death in 1976.

Back in 1966, the cultural revolution in China introduced a policy they called "Destruction Of The Four Olds." A purging of historical identity became the standard of the day. The targets were Customs, Culture, Habits, Ideas.  

The result of the "Four Olds" was destruction of historical sites, libraries, statues, buildings, and other forms of cultural identity. Streets and towns were renamed. In the name of the revolution, citizens were encouraged to criticize cultural institutions, and question the values of their parents.

Comparative analysis uncovers frightening parallels. Many are familiar with controversy regarding the tearing down of statues in Canada, including those of founding father, Sir John A. MacDonald. Add to this Critical Race Theory within Canada’s education system. This ideology calls for an erasure and/or revisionism of our history for the purpose of eradicating what movements like Black Lives Matter consider "white supremacy."

We note an affinity with China's revolution in the erosion of Canadian culture as advanced by federal and provincial governments:

November, 2022-- "The B.C. Royal Museum[Victoria, Canada] has announced it will be closing sections of the First People's gallery on its third floor as it seeks to decolonize the institution."

In terms of China's attempt at historical revisionism, we recognize parallels in tear-downs of statues in Canada, burnings of dozens of churches, and general degradation of Canadian heritage. Chief proponents, PM Justin Trudeau and New Democratic Party Leader Jagmeet Singh.

In 1966, traditional values taught in China's education system were abandoned. For purposes of equality, university entrance exams were cancelled. Acceptance transitioned to socio-economic justification— a policy currently held by Harvard University. China’s revolution was big on slogans, one of which was: "To Rebel Is Justified"-- providing it occurred in the name of Maoist ideology.

"In China, writers and journalists had to gain permission for their work to be published under a newly introduced certification program."

In 2021, the Trudeau government introduced a policy for designation as a qualified Canadian Journalism Organization. Media outlets are required to meet the criteria set out in the Federal Income Tax Act. Canada's right-leaning conservative outlet The Rebel failed the test, as the Feds deemed that 99% of their media output was incompatible with government standards.

In his Little Red Book, Chairman Mao declared that "equality among the sexes is one of the goals of communism." In 2015, freshly-minted PM Justin Trudeau established the first gender-balanced cabinet in Canadian history.

Moving to the present, we note affinities that couldn't have existed between 1966-1976. Not to say Mao Tse Tung wouldn't have implemented them if the technology existed at the time.

Many Canadians are aware of the Liberal government's current push to censor the internet. To accomplish the goal, freedom of speech assassin Heritage Minister Pablo Rodriguez has not one, but three bills tabled to censor the Canadian internet. Bill C-11 transfers power over the web to the CTRC, aligning control with mediums of television and radio. To pass all three is to constitute the creation of a Great Canadian Firewall.

"The Great Firewall of China 防火长城;  is the combination of legislative actions and technologies enforced by the People's Republic of China to regulate the internet domestically.  Its role in internet censorship in China is to block access to selected foreign websites and to slow down cross-border internet traffic."

Continuing in the technological realm, let us briefly consider a topical item-- the freezing of citizen bank accounts during Canada's equivalent of China's Tiananmen Square riots, the Ottawa Truckers Convoy.

May 18th, 2022--  "Banks in China's central Henan province have frozen $178 million in deposits, leaving firms unable to pay workers and individuals locked out of savings. The banks have not issued any communication on the matter since," depositors told Reuters.

The process is rooted in a government policy referred to as "Social Credit." The program judges individuals based on a citizen's social credit score. Behave according to government ideology, and receive points. Participate in an equivalent to the Freedom Convoy in Ottawa, and awaken the next morning to no access to your money.

The basis for draconian lifestyles in China is, of course, Marxist-Leninist political philosophy, also known as Communism. It is where the "neo" element of "neo-communism" enters the picture.

What Justin Trudeau is doing to Canada is based on a progressive version of the Chinese communist model. Therefore, certain variations exist. Contemporary Marxism of the variety espoused by BLM, CRT, and pseudo-intellectual race antagonists like Ibram Xolani Kendi have upgraded the Marxist model. Traditional Marxism was founded on the theory of class struggle. Contemporary ideology involves race and gender struggle— an expansion of the racial suffrage movement to include sexuality, gender and transgender.

Here we uncover the roots of the revolution. It is this struggle which, at least theoretically, will lead to the greatest social transition in modern civilization. How comforting it is to know that PM Justin Trudeau advocates every aspect of the post-modern socialist revolution.
