The Demise Of The Christian Religion In Trudeau's Canada
Why does Justin Trudeau's attitude toward Christianity differ from his approach to non-Christian religions?
A Canadian media article published in early 2022 tells the story:
“Gone by 2040: Why Some Religions Are Declining In Canada Faster Than Ever”
A review of contents tells us that “some religions” refer to the Christian religion. Conversely, the number of followers of 3rd World faiths-- Muslims, Sikhs, Buddhists and Hindus-- is increasing exponentially.
According to Statistics Canada, citizens who report non-Christian religious affiliation could double by 2036. An article from Western Standard News tells us that the population of Muslim-Canadians has tripled over the past 15 years.
“As late as 1985 there were so few Muslims in Canada the religion was categorized as ‘others’ in a federal survey. The postwar population of Muslims was so small that the Dominion Bureau of Statistics, deleted “Muslim” from its 1944 Census questionnaire.”
Both federal and provincial heritage months exist to celebrate Muslim history in Canada. Ironic to realize, according to Statistics Canada, there isn’t a history to celebrate. Like government and media, StatsCan appear more concerned with our demographic future than the past.
Christianity is in sharp decline. According to Global News, United Church of Canada is losing one church per month. In 1986, 10.4% of all Canadians were Anglican. In 2019, the number stood at 3.8%.
What causes these trends? The number one factor is immigration policy. Here we observe the reason for PM Justin Trudeau’s all-encompassing dedication to Canada's 3rd World communities. In a religious context, Sikhism and Islam represent the future of Canadian demography. The Christian faith represents the past. In order to remain in power in perpetuity, the Liberals ceaselessly pander to voter growth markets.
It would be one thing if the Trudeau government was simply indifferent to Christianity. The Covid pandemic proves this to be false. While police raided Christian churches, issued fines and placed Pastors in jail, equivalent measures for non-Christian faiths never materialized.
We come to understand why government behaves in this manner– the future of our country is non-Christian. Rather than attempt to preserve Christian presence– or god forbid promote it– our prime minister targets these communities.
“In an unusually harsh judicial slapdown of the Trudeau government, a federal judge ruled that an Ontario university was barred access to the Canada Summer Jobs Program for little reason other than the fact that it was a Christian institution.”
The reason? A refusal to sign on the dotted line in support of Canada’s abortion laws. Established by ex-Liberal PM Pierre Trudeau, our nation's abortion policy is the most permissive in the western world. In contrast, Toronto Sun published the following article: “Another Controversial Islamic Group Gets Summer Jobs Grant Funding.”
“According to a government database of grant recipients, the Muslim Association of Canada (MAC) has been approved to receive ten grants to fund activities for its various chapters across Ontario. MAC’s Mississauga chapter is listed as receiving three separate grants.”
As prime minister, Justin Trudeau understands the demographic future of Canada. Our general population, not so much. Ahead of the curve, Mr. Trudeau works toward his number one goal: keeping his Liberal Party in power forever. Personal religious affiliation be damned-- his eye remains firmly on-target.
"Religiosity in Canada is at an all-time low, with recently released data from Statistics Canada showing only 68 per cent of Canadians 15 or older now report having a religious affiliation. It’s the first time that number has dipped below 70% StatCan began tracking the data in 1985."
"It’s important to note that this decline is not across the board; the number of Muslims, Sikhs, Buddhists and Hindus is increasing."
The decline is even more precarious for Canadian churches. A national charity estimates that 9,000 religious spaces in Canada will be shut down over the next ten years. Are these the reasons for Trudeau's skewed approach to Canada's religious communities? Every year in spring, Christian, Jewish, Muslim and Sikh holy days are celebrated in our country.
A brief look PM Trudeau's messaging regarding the events: in April 2021, Trudeau angered Canadians by failing to acknowledge Easter in his public address:
“It’s the start of a long weekend, and I know that means you’d normally be getting together with your entire family for a few days of fun.”
Our PM's message to Canadians regarding Ramadan:
“It[Ramadan] remains one of the holiest holidays in the Muslim community. It’s a time for prayer,a time for reflection and self-restraint, and a time to celebrate the values at the core of Islam.”
A world of understanding thus revealed. Or it would be, if Canadian media had even the slightest inkling toward revealing objective truth. As it turns out, media play the same game as Trudeau. Trivializing Easter with talk of eggs and chocolate bunnies, their most dynamic messaging is found in holiday-related retail discounts.
Yet, Ramadan and the Sikh celebration of Vaisakhi are serious business. Their sanctity must remain in tact. We recognize the contrast in presentation. Government and media approach non-Christian holidays-- and related communities-- in a completely different manner than found in attitudes toward Christianity.
Tomorrow is Easter Sunday in Canada. While Ramadan and Vaisahki have been the talk of the town for the past week, Justin Trudeau has yet to make a single statement regarding the celebration of Easter.
Gone by 2040? So says Global News of Canada. It may well be the case. Let us recognise the reality of Justin Trudeau's role in the erasure. Not only does he not give a damn, it is arguable that he is accelerating the process.
The Demise Of The Christian Religion In Trudeau's Canada
Christians & Jews need to band together to vote this traitor Turd out of office in 2025, IF he allows an election.
Agree with your thoughts but find the article depressing and I can’t imagine what the future looks like for this country, I think I have mentioned that my life is nearing the end ( 86years of age) and I am grateful for that! I realize things can’t stay as is but Trudeau for reasons I do not understand does favour minority non Christian peoples but he won’t be in power forever and who cares but he himself about his legacy! Unless of coarse he plans on passing the torch on to his son, let the Trudeau name live on in perpetuity!
