Trudeau Paving Path To Full Autonomy For Quebec: Ex-Liberal Chief of Staff
“Trudeau’s approval of the Quebec autonomy bill will reduce Québec’s English-speaking minority to the status of serfs.”
Warren Kinsella, former chief of staff for ex-Liberal Prime Minister Jean Chretien, is making bold predictions. As approved by PM Justin Trudeau, Bill 96 sets the stage for provincial autonomy in Quebec not advanced since a referendum in 1995.
According to Mr. Kinsella, Trudeau's approval of the Quebec autonomy bill will "reduce Québec’s English-speaking minority to the status of serfs. It will gut Canada’s constitution and the notion that no person — and no province — is more important than the rest.”
“Bill 96 will constitutionalize the notion that Quebec is better than the other provinces, and that anyone who lives there and does not speak French is a lesser being. Canada‘s Prime Minister and Québec’s Premier are counting on the fact that you are likely likely disinterested in Québec’s Bill 96."
Adoption of the principle by the Quebec government: November 4, 2021--Vote: For 116, Against 0, Abstention 0.
It’s a state-of-affairs which fascinates on multiple levels. Tucked away in a Toronto Sun article we find an ex-Liberal Chief of Staff speaking of unprecedented autonomy for Quebec. Meaning a potential break up of our federation-- possibly.
"That is the pandora’s box that Legault and Trudeau have now opened,” states Kinsella. When your country is at risk, it is fair to ask: who will speak for it?”
Western News Watch may not have a handle of who will speak for it, but we can guess who will not speak against it:
As reported by CTV News on February 8th, 2022, the messaging is limited to the issue of language rights. There isn't the slightest hint of what Mr. Kinsella is speaking to in terms of an impact on federalism.
"Quebec's French-language watchdog is experiencing record numbers of citizen complaints about the province's French-language charter not being respected. The increase in complaints shows the need for Bill 96."
On January 28th, 2022, Montreal Gazette chipped in with the following: "Will the language legislation be adopted before the election? Or does the CAQ government have another strategy in mind?" asked the Montreal Gazette on January 28th, 2022.
Permit WNW to take a crack at this one. We begin with a confession: our organization has a habit of blaming all national misfortunes on Justin Trudeau. This time out is no exception.
Observation: the only time we have witnessed Mr. Trudeau getting emotional about cultural retention is when he speaks of pride in being Quebecois. Outside this parameter, our PM has nothing but scorn for society.
Within the context of Quebec independence, the Liberal government is reinforcing French-Canadian identity in no-uncertain terms. For the remainder of Canada, they work to decimate traditional culture. There is little doubt that Trudeau is conscious of the dynamic. The Feds work maintain facilitate cultural and linguistic retention in Quebec, while the opposite is true for English Canada.
For these people, Trudeau has nothing but scorn. The man having worked to perpetuate our melt-down from day one. At the top of the bill is the demonization of Anglophones as racists. The same has never applied to French-Canadians-- regardless of the fact that they constitute the second of two original settler communities. Media has not once articulated the hypocrisy.
What do you know? An exclusive club it is. Justin Trudeau, a native Quebecois, indemnifies French communities from responsibility for historical racism. According to Monsieur Trudeau, all culpability belongs to Anglophones.
Media say nothing. Could Bill C-96 be a tool to protect Trudeau's preferred community while pushing Anglophones to the periphery of society?
What we have here is called a "loaded deck." It is, in fact, the only rules under which Justin Trudeau will play the political game. Bias, favouritism, exclusion, vilification, special status. This is Trudeau in the flesh.
The agenda is a giant ruse. Never in history has English Canada been so down-in-the-mouth. Pre-conceived and calculated, Anglophones continue to be walked down the plank of cultural degeneration.
Let's take our country back!! And our cereal boxes! Trudeau is a 'boulet de demolition'. What a churlish, puerile (thanks Brad), destructive bastard (Castro?) Let's shine a light! Where's that pesky 'non-confidence' motion gonna come from??
This would set a precedent. Western Canada could declare the same thing, with Canadian being the official language. JT could end up being the PM of Ontario and PEI.
