Woke Warfare: The Hi-Jacking Of A Democracy Called Canada
Looking back, we see that Pierre Trudeau was Canada’s prototype globalist– the first of a new of breed “woke” political leaders.
For Canadian-born citizens to have believed that our country was a democracy with giant potential is the greatest of understatements. Considering our attributes, it was reasonable that Canadians of the 1960's and 1970's would assume we would become one of the world's great democracies.
A high standard of living, adherence to rule of law, and a clean and healthy environment attested to this. For well over a century Canada stood as a model of quality living. Maintaining a top-tier public education system, we held a jewel in our crown– a universal health care system. Our country has never been perfect — but our reputation ranked high among countries of the western world.
Then something went wrong. All the pride exemplified in events such as Expo 1967 in Montreal began to go sideways. In retrospect, long -term Canadians can recognise the pivotal point in the transition.
It was in the year of 1968 that the first of two Trudeau family members became prime minister. Dissatisfied with the small-time, colloquial nature of Canada, Pierre Trudeau began a process of selling our country to the world. The first place he turned to was China. Based on personal admiration for communist societies, Trudeau Sr. was the first western diplomat to establish diplomatic ties with China.
The repercussions exist to this day. Such as it was that our country began its path toward internationalism. Looking back, we see that Pierre Trudeau was Canada's prototype globalist-- the first of a new of breed "woke" political leaders.
Thus began Canada’s national transformation. Not long after, Hong Kong was standing on our doorstep. To be followed by a run of 3rd World Nations–Pakistan, Philippines, India, and eventually nations of the Middle East and Africa.
Beginning in the 1980's, Canada became a leading destination for immigrants from the 3rd World. Today, our country maintains the highest per-capita immigration quotas on earth. While this doesn't suggest there is anything intrinsically wrong with new arrivals, the impact is nation-transforming.
The transition of which we speak is to a large extent ideological. As decades passed, Canada began to morph away from democratic allies and traditional religious affiliations. Within the past decade, our society has steadily progressed toward an authoritarian social condition.
By the time the second member of the Trudeau clan became prime minister in 2015, Canada has reached an apotheosis. Our links to traditional ideological partners like the United States and Britain became tenuous. Under Trudeau Jr., our government began to ingratiate India, Iran, Pakistan, and other nations of the 3rd World.
The transition has been more than profound. Yet, due to media obfuscation, Canadians have trouble recognising a re-working of ideological affiliations. Incrementally rolled out over decades, the morphing of Canada into a pseudo-socialist nation has been difficult to discern.
Such a development is complex in nature. It may be unreasonable to pin it on a particular ruling party, let alone individual political figures. Yet, risking over-simplification, we point to a "coincidence" which cannot be ignored.
No individuals have had a greater impact on Canada's transfer to neo-communism than Pierre and Justin Trudeau. Was it all too good to be true? Was it an inevitable that Canada would undergo a political hi-jacking as it walked down a path of national maturation?
Canadian patriots mourn the state of our country. Considering how it came about, we note a peculiar circumstance: in no manner did our citizenship have a say in the matter. Certainly not by way of mainstream media.
There are few elements of society more poorly understood than the machinations of Canadian media. Few of us recognise the insular nature of the beast. Existing within a political vacuum, media organizations basked in the luxury of a license for monolithic news presentation. So much so that the presentation is more accurately be described as propaganda.
The phenomenon is not as "post-modern" as one may believe. Just because Justin Trudeau has all but purchased CBC outright doesn't mean that government-media collusion is a recent development. It has, indeed, been going on for decades-- the crux being media's untold bias toward the Liberal Party of Canada.
What makes it different as we begin year 2022? The answer is basic-- the advent of the internet. As the years pass, a competing force became interjected into the media world.
Condemn it all you like, but social media offers alternative concepts to the mainstream. The result has been a steady growth in alternate perspectives. After decades of "owning the market," one can only imagine how much government and media minions loathe this development.
No wonder Justin Trudeau is out to censor the darn thing. A lack of control is anathema to him. Thus, we arrive at the media wars. And why not-- seeing as every other aspect of society is at war with the other. What better example do we have than the Covid-inspired Vaxxers versus anti-Vaxxers showdown?
Fear, social conflict, national anxiety-- the very conditions which preclude axiomatic transformations in a society. This is the stage Canadian finds itself at present.
We are is light-years away from the country that could have been. If two Trudeau family members did not so arrogantly take the destiny of our nation into their hands, perhaps the outcome would have been different.
