Well I’m really disappointed that my Danish Dad and English Mum decided to emigrate to Canada with me. I’m glad my Dad who adopted this country as his own and believed in it isn’t here to see what it has become. He worked like a dog when he arrived and provided well for 5 children and his wife. He, along with so many others, built this country with blood sweat and tears. Now he would be treated like dirt by the jumped up psychopath called Trudeau. A man who has done nothing for this country and holds beliefs that would disgust my Dad. I didn’t know until a few years ago that our getting on that boat and train were the biggest mistakes my parents made. I’ve never felt at home here and wonder frequently how much better life would have been had we stayed in Europe. I resent more each day having Canadian citizenship but I’m too old to move back. Trudeau is the epitome of ignorance and arrogance. My parents sponsored families from war torn countries and accepted all immigrants. But it’s out of control now. Only a few want to embrace this country and call it home. Not like the immigrants of my Dad’s generation. The old stock Europeans.
In many ways, I emphasize with you. Never did I believe that the outcome of my decision to choose Canada as my home would result in even a modicum of regret. Nevertheless, chin up, we still live in a democracy and have the opportunity to resolve this odious and unjust Liberal plan for our future - in the coming election!
