On one hand Trudeau says we need these people to fill jobs yet on the other hand you hear talk about UBI because of jobs we are/will lose due to AI. You don't get it both ways. I think we could eliminate over half the government with AI.

As an old stock Canadian born, I disagree with this "welfarism". It is welfarism that has created the economic decline resulting in affordability for old stock to raise large families. Just look at the boomer generation....most came from large families.
