Heard a commercial on the radio yesterday for the Foodbank. Basically it was telling people who “grew up with food on the table” and “could always afford food” that they shouldn’t be ashamed to use the Foodbank if they are working hard but still can’t make ends meet. “the Foodbank is here for everyone”. What kind of country are we becoming when we are “normalizing” poverty in the lower/middle working class. Making people completely dependent on govt and social services is not the way to a prosperous, free and secure future. These Lieberals and NDP and Green Zealots all need to go ASAP. I’m not so naive to believe that the Conservatives are going to be complete saviors, but at this point, they cannot do any worse. Canadians need a change now!

Most immigrants (I am one of them) are honest, hard working, well meaning people, which did and will enrich the Canadian culture. The problem is that once most of them come from areas with a significantly different mentality and values, the traditional Canadian way of life is affected. Canada is not anymore the country we immigrated to forty years ago and the changes is not for the good. Where are the times when in Toronto cars were left unlocked in the public parking? Gone are the days when one could be hundred percent sure to efficiently and with courtesy be treated by federal employees. Do not be surprised if while on a hospital bed the nurse will give you the food with the same unwashed hands she used to empty your potty, etc. And get used to be blamed for all bad in the world. Little things, but put together they erode the quality of our life and, to compound the problem, no signs of long term improvements are in sight.
