I have to agree Canada is becoming more racist everyday. …against whites. Frankly, before all the hullabaloo about gays etc. and people such as Trudeau, Singh, and Freeland, and many others including Francophone Quebecers — beginning 70 years ago — began elevating their language, race, and sexual preferences as being under attack by white-Anglos, I never had negative thoughts against other people for those reasons. I did in the particular, have negative thoughts about certain criminal behaviours, but not generally negative thoughts about all the different ways humans manifested their uniqueness. Indeed the business I am in today and have been for over 55 years was over represented — proportionally — by gays and Jews, and other “ minorities “ in 1967.
Indeed the appeal of the business for me, then as now, was that all these people including French people made life interesting. Perhaps even then I was a minority, with my blue eyes, and fair skin. I was raised in a home to appreciate difference not homogeneity. We did not discuss different attributes as deserving of my tolerance — indeed the atmosphere was non judgemental — and it was expected that I would have to make my way in life by expressing my fundamental uniqueness not suppressing it, while accepting others fundamental uniquenesses. So to me every
person I met was unique including those whom today are suddenly labelled racist because they are white. The basic family code was tolerance unless proved otherwise.
Society today seems to be adopting a view that whites are automatically guilty of being racist and in interpersonal relations whites have to apologize for being white.
Since all the hullabaloo began to dominate public discourse I have become increasingly interested in history. And having done so I am now of the conviction that certain minority groups have been using selective events done by whites as cover for their generally calculatingly and deceptive behaviour. …In other words carrying out the most ugly forms of human behaviour under the cover of accusations of whites being anti-Semitic if and when these ugly behaviours are called out. I am convinced whites are being set up as scapegoats.
